FreeAgent Referral Program Policies

All FreeAgent Referral Partners are required to complete the agreement and remain in compliance with these terms. This list contains everything you need to know to be a FreeAgent Referral Partner, including resources, legal information, and brand awareness.

1. Commission

Commission Rates

Available commissions are set forth in this document. Commissions are based on purchase, and these commissions may be calculated based on monthly or annual purchases.

Commissions for the Referral Partner Program are as follows:

Commission Structure (last updated: July 2021)

A $130 flat fee for a qualified lead (determined by FreeAgent).

25% commission on sales. The commission will be paid monthly for the first 12 months of the customer’s subscription.

In order to receive payment, all necessary paperwork must be completed in the “Partner Portal”. The information provided will determine the form of payment, all necessary account/personal information, and tax information (if applicable).

2. Limitations

  1. For purchase commissions, you will receive a commission for the first purchase made by a new customer who is not in an active sales process with us at the time of the referral.
  2. Commissions will still be counted if a user starts on one domain and then signs up or purchases on another FreeAgent domain.
  3. Fraudulent or stolen attribution is a non payable event. If we suspect fraud (for example, if we see that signups are all from the same city or IP address) we may require you to prove that the referrals are valid.

3. Upgrades/downgrades

You do not receive an additional commission if a customer upgrades to a higher-tiered product in the future. If a customer downgrades, you will receive the commission associated with that downgrade.

4. Attribution

In the event a single customer is referred by two partners, the first partner gets the credit until that lead is considered expired according to our program policies (insert # days here). We do, however, reserve the right to modify this in certain circumstances.

5. Promoting FreeAgent

You agree to follow FreeAgent’s brand usage and trademark guidelines as outlined here:
FreeAgent Trademark Usage Agreement

  1. FreeAgent Branding
    Do:

    Capitalize the “A” in “FreeAgent”.

You must follow our style guide, our Trademark Usage Guidelines here, and our Content Usage Guidelines here.

    Do Not:
Use false or misleading statements on the benefits of using FreeAgent.

Modify or adjust the FreeAgent wordmark or eagle logo in any sort of marketing material you might create, including the creation of any visual badges or dual-logo lockups.

  2. What to call yourself

As we have multiple ways to partner with FreeAgent and several ways to reference those relationships, here are some guidelines around what you can and cannot call yourself within the FreeAgent Referral Partner Program.

    Do:
Say you’re a “FreeAgent Referral Partner” or “Referral Partner”.

  3. Buying Ads
You will not purchase ads that direct to your site(s) that could be considered as competing with FreeAgent’s own advertising, including, but not limited to, our branded keywords. If running ads, you need to direct the ad to your own website (and not to freeagentcrm.com).

6. Policies that don’t fit into the other buckets

Survey Participation: We would encourage you to participate in any partner-program NPS surveys, industry surveys, marketing surveys, etc. as we request.

Affiliate Program: If you are also part of the Affiliate program, you cannot receive the fee for an Affiliate Lead and also the commission from the Referral Program. If the same lead is received through both Affiliate and Referral program, it will be at FreeAgent’s discretion which program rewards apply.
